Esta canción habla sobre el concepto que aplica Foucault en su análisis de las formas de poder. Foucault coge como ejemplo a un filósofo utilitarista del XIX, Bentham. Este hombre había diseñado un tipo de penitenciaria que consistía en un gran torreón central de control y la disposición de pabellones radiales, el panóptico. El objetivo era que los funcionarios de prisión pudieran vigilar a los presidarios sin ser vistos por ellos. La filosofía foucaultiana trata de explicar que el poder se ejerce de igual manera, se inocula en todos los estratos sociales siendo difícilmente observable y eludible. El poder consigue su victoria definitiva cuando el padre lo ejerce sobre su hijo, el capataz sobre el peón, el profesor sobre el alumno, el doctor o el psicólogo sobre el paciente... En definitiva, nos implica a todos en el ejercicio del poder porque todos lo ejecutamos sobre alguien.
